Substantiate Your Green Claims with Independent ECGT Compliance Verification
Why ECGT Compliance Matters
If your business makes claims about carbon footprint, carbon neutrality, emissions reduction, recyclability, or sustainability performance, those claims need to stand up to scrutiny. EcoVerify provides independent validation and verification to help you communicate with confidence.
The ECGT Directive is part of the EU’s broader push to eliminate misleading environmental claims and protect consumers from greenwashing.
Poorly substantiated claims can expose your business to:
- regulatory risk,
- reputational damage,
- loss of customer trust,
- commercial delays in regulated markets.
Well-substantiated claims can help you:
- communicate sustainability credentials with confidence,
- strengthen trust with customers and stakeholders,
- support tenders, procurement, and investor expectations,
- reduce the risk of greenwashing accusations.
What EcoVerify does & what we verify?
EcoVerify supports businesses making environmental and climate-related claims, including:
- greenhouse gas inventories and carbon footprint claims,
- verified emissions reduction claims,

We help ensure your claims are accurate, defensible, and aligned with recognised standards and regulatory expectations.

How the EcoVerify Programme Works
Initial Enquiry: Clients reporting on their carbon footprint, achieving GHG reductions, making carbon neutrality claims or Net Zero Pathways will reach out to us for expert guidance. We validate / verify based on ISO 14064-1, GHG Protocol Corporate and Value Chain Standard, ISO 14068-1 and the EcoVerify Net Zero Pathways Programme.
EcoVerify ensures your claim meets full compliance through expert validation and verification, following the EcoVerify Programme, ISO 14064-3, and other leading standards.
When the validation or verification process is successful, the client receives a positive validation or verification opinion, along with the relevant marks to proudly showcase their achievement. Following a thorough and impartial process, the Validation and Verification Team issues an official opinion affirming the client’s claim.
The client has the opportunity to validate or verify their claims annually. To maintain their status and continue using the marks, they can easily request a new validation and verification process each year
